Any tips on how to face laptop to TV/TV to laptop problems?
For instance, let's take this situation: Let's say I have a Samsung TV and I want to connect it to a my laptop that's running on Windows Vista. I already have a VGA cable. The problem is, it doesn't work! When I do connect the same way to a desktop, though, it works just fine. Is there a specific area that I should check? How come connections between other laptops and my TV work well but when it comes to my Samsung TV and my laptop, it doesn't carry out? |

What are the operating systems being used by those laptops? If one is running on Vista, is the other one running on the same OS?
Judging from the situation you presented, I have an inking that this is probably just an OS issue. If your laptop uses XP and it works fine, then that means that the OS in the other laptop may not just recognize the connection. The OS may not recognize that you connected the laptop to a television set. Most graphic card drivers have this function to enable TV detection. If you have a way of finding that out, then try activating that. Afterwards, reboot your laptop. That should most probably do the trick. |
