Default Software to fix distorted audio?

Is there available pc software where I can fix my audio? My videos are great but the audio comes out distorted and crackling. I would like to fix or eliminate the unnecessary noise. Thanks

There is an available software where you can install for your pc for audio editing. The Audacity Portable. Its key features include:
• Recording live audio.
• Conversion of tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
• Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and WAV sound files editing
• Sound mixing (Cut, copy and splice)
• Change the speed or pitch of a recording.
