Problems with Sony DCR-HC90E in Vista OS

Hi guys! I'm new here. I bought a Sony DCR-HC90E handycam two weeks ago but I have yet to download my videos to my PC. It seems that the Vista Operating System does not recognize my camera. Is there something that I need to do to resolve this or do I need to download additional drivers?

Hi tennisguru. I checked the specs of your new camera and saw that one of the connector types is FireWire. FireWire is a new peripheral developed by Apple.

Hardware & Drivers - FireWire

You need to download and install WINDV at WinDV. This is a free software or this may have been included on your camera pack. This is the program that you need to use to download your videos.

There are no other drivers needed to be installed.

This is one of the common problems with Vista nowadays. That's why a lot of users practically hate this software.

Have you tried restarting your system?
