Default Multi-format(hybrid) camcorders

Can anyone further explain to me what this multi-format camcorders can do? Should I choose these kind of camcorders?

Hi there tamia

Multi-format camcorders or hybrid camcorders offers the benefit of both hard drive and flash memory/DVD camcorders. The good thing about this kind of camcorder is that you can choose what format to use based on shooting conditions, either record to the hard drive for longer shoots or record to a DVD for instant enjoyment. You can transfer and edit video in your computer or edit in-camera and burn to DVD. Multi-format camcorders are much larger and heavier compared to those hard drive models only.

It all depends on you if you will choose hybrid camcorders. If you feel that it will provide you with the satisfaction you need then go for it.
