There's an interesting article about this gadget in New York Times. You may want to read this first before you make an informed decision.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/20/te...=1&oref=slogin or check out the official site at Flip Video I believe there's an ongoing price-off sale on the item, it used to be worth $180 or so but now it was reduced to $125 in most online retail sites (of course, you have to add up shipping and handling). |

I like this gadget because it is easy to use and practically people from all ages can use this without difficulty. However, the downside on my opinion is the the gadget's lack of capturing still images like a digital camera. Basically, it is a videocamera in a way. Despite this setback, the FLIP is a revolutionary gadget that one can bring anywhere and the videos can be uploaded easily on one's PC and ready for upload in major online sites such as YouTube and AOL video.

Among the low-end digital camcorders, the FLIP Ultra stands out mainly because the price of the gadget is affordable and the features can rival the more expensive models. I also like the fact that it is easy to transfer the videos from the FLIP to online video sites like YouTube, that's pretty much what people wants these days.
