Nearly all of the artists/ablum/track names display an extra weird character (not even the same one) at the end of the same. The filenames don't have this character and neither do the ID3 tags.
Does the X20 only like one version of tags or only like a file to have one type of tag only? |

This is the first time that I've heard this kind of problem and even research did not bore any results either.
I would suggest you call the technical support of iriver (the makers of X20) because it may be an unusual problem that needs to be solved. http://www.iriver.com/support/ask.asp http://www.iriver.com/product/p_detail.asp?pidx=81 |

After trying:
1. Using Windows media player to sync. 2. Using the software from iRiver to sync. 3. Drag and dropping the folders myself in Explorer. 4. Using Ogg files with drag and drop or the iRiver software. 5. Using the support site with the "AI" Q&A form. 6. Emailing iriver support. I finally tried one last go which worked. Ogg files almost worked as the extra character did not show, but it did not recognise the tags in the ogg files which is a pity as the ogg files seem to have a better quality sound at higher compression rates than mp3s. Anyway my last go was to sync the files using WMP when the X20 was set the connection type to MTP. |
