Does anybody know how I can transfer my old music from vinyl to cd? I still have my old collection and it’s been piling up. I would like to preserve them by making duplicates and store them in cd or dvd format. Or later, I can convert them to mp3 format. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi there Dizzy. What you need to make duplicates for your music from old vinyl or even tapes is this, a USB TURNTABLE. This gadget right here will answer all your inquiries. Just hook it up into your PC’s spare USB port and your good to go in transferring all your favorite songs. It can convert your vinyl into WAV, WMV and MP3s. You can even plug a tape deck into an auxiliary port and convert your old cassettes. Believe me, this is worth buying. Have fun!

Here’s the USB Cassette Deck. You can either plug it directly to your pc or into your USB Turntable. You can mix up your recording by using the two. Now that’s a good way to make a really good playlist!

Hi dizzy, you do not need special turntable.
Your computer has a sound card with the line input. Just use it to record the signal into computer. I guess your record player is hooked up to an amplifier - use line output or aux output to connect to the computer. If for some reason your computer does not have line input or it is very bad then you'd better off spend money on a sound card - it will be much more versatile than usb turntable IMO. You might have to buy a 1/8" jack-to-jack or double RCA-to -1/8"-jack cable (depending on what connections you have on your stereo) but that's $5 expense perhaps. You can use free software like Audacity to record, it is excellent. Good Luck Last edited by 30DoorKey : 04-23-2008 at 12:56 AM. |
