I am a great fan of Creative ZEN players. In fact, I have the flash-based mp3 player of this brand. It's significantly cheaper than the iPoD but it basically has the same or even more features. The major advantage of the iPod would probably be its WiFi functionality but I don't really care for that. For budget-conscious people, you can always buy a lower-end ZEN because you can just buy SD cards to upgrade the memory capacity of your player!
