Default Who knows what a wide angle-lens is?

Well, I often hear about this wide angle lens on digital cameras but I had no idea what role it plays on digi cams. Can anyone tell me about this lens? How does it actually work?

They are those lenses which gives you a view "further back" in the frame than a typical 35mm lens. Lens that 30mm or below are considered wide-angle lens. They are good in taking indoor photos where it allows you to capture more space.
