What is the best DSLR camera? I need it as a gift for my brother. He loves taking pictures and i want the best camera for him. thanks for the suggestions...

Get a Nikon d40 for starters. It's inexpensive and has good DSLR settings. Your brother can learn the basic stuff such as aperture and shutter settings.

The DSLR nowadays are great. It only depends on how you use it...

Perfect Lenses - Nikon
Picture Processing Power - Canon
Digital Features on a Traditional Camera Combined - Sony
