I have a Sony DSLR A700 camera. When I take a photo and look at in Photoshop Elements 6 it tells me that there is 72ppi in the photo, Professional Quality is 300ppi. Everything I read says if you Resample the photo size, you will lose quality! So my question is how do you get there without lousing quality of your photograph, is there a method or technique?

Hi there Rick. Usually, when you crop or resize your photos in Photoshop or Gimp, you lose a little bit of their quality even if you use the Fine Setting. JPEG is a “lossy” format compared to PNG. What you can do is convert your JPEG formatted photo files into PNG format for editing purposes. When you’re finished, you can save it back to JPEG.
