Default Car photography setting

What do I need to shoot car photography? What setting is best suited for my dslr?

What you need is better lighting to expose image quality. You can use halogen or external flash. It’ll help spread the light to your photo subject (car) rather than depending on your dslr’s built-in flash. I recommend also a circular polarizer filter to get rid off a lot of the reflections from lighting. Kit lens (18/55mm) works fine with the polarizer filter. Adjust your ISO in low settings. Use a tripod to avoid blurring if using slower shutter speeds.

Depends on the Dslr you have and the current light conditions.

Apart from what everyone else has posted here, it also depends on the kind of picture or effect you want to achieve. If you're in a dim place and you want more lighting, you need to stretch the aperture of your dslr. Or perhaps you want faster shutter speed...it really depends on the kind of picture you want to achieve.

What's the brand of your dslr and what are its features? How many megapixels?
