Default cannot open my images

Hi,
I just bought a canon SD790 IS last Monday and I cannot open my images. Why is that? I have a dynex photocard reader for my sandisk mini card. It says it cannot open any of the files. What in the world is my camera saving my images as?! Do I need a file converter? I do not want to use canon's software. I edit my pics in microsoft photodraw. Any info would be awesome!

The SD790IS saves images as standard JPEG files. I would suggest that you use the camera to format your memory card, and then retry taking pictures and transferring them to your computer.
