Default why is my pc running really slow???

im running xp pro sp3 on my pc its specs are
1.5GHz and
2x512MB
and ive seen the min specs to run XP and im well clear
300MHz and
128Mb
i want to know why my pc is running really slow is it anything to do with the HD, it could be on its last legs, i mean theHD not making a noise it seems to be running fine, thats the only conclusion i come with

PS the ram is SDram

i would just say its the harddrive you have a very good system for vista my computer the one im using now is only 1.8 gigahurts and 256 mb of ram and it blazes but i only have 15 programs installed
so you should prolly clean your harddrive or just get another harddrive for storage, idk up to you
