Please help. I am not able to open any partitions of my hard disk drive. I recently scanned the system with AVG and detected two viruses. I have already deleted the two viruses. After that, I’m not able to gain access to the hard drives. The drive names are present in Windows Explorer but when I tried right-clicking on each, it doesn’t open and lags for a few minutes. How do I Fix this?

I believe there has been a setback before you have deleted the viruses. I strongly suggest that you install the AVAST anti-virus software (http://www.avast.com/). It’s good in detecting and healing viruses. Also, run the basic diagnostics like running anti-virus and defrag.

There's also a possibility that some files that may have aided in determining the hard drives were deleted after you deleted the two viruses. It's also possible that the virus was not permanently deleted and is now affecting your PC. You need to update your AVG software or install another virus removal program called Avast (as suggested by Dizzy).
