Hi guys,
Can anybody enlighten me on how I can use two or more monitors but only one CPU? Are there cables, special software programs etc that I need? Tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

PAM! It's my turn to help ya
Stuff you can do: > Get a splitter cable from any computer retailer. You also need a video cable long enough to reach the other monitor. The splitter cable is pretty affordable > Or get a reverse IP KVM. A regular KVM allows one monitor, mouse and keyboard to control multiple computers. But since you only have one CPU/PC, you must get the reverse KVM. > Try this website, too (apart from what James75 already recommended) Video Splitters--Compare Video Splitter Products from leading vendors |

Source: How To Setup Dual Monitors
1. First, you’ll need to setup your monitor viewing space, pick a proper desk or special locale that will support both of your monitors and will make it easy for you to work with them comfortably while multitasking. 2. This step is a tricky one, plug in your secondary monitor to the unused VGA/DVI port on your graphics card, or if you’re using a laptop plug it into the unused external VGA/DVI port. ![]() 3. Next, right click on your desktop and go to ‘Properties’, then click on the ‘Themes’ tab, and click on the second monitor box, and check ‘Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor.’ |
