Default How to fix "Active Desktop Items" problem

Just want to share how I solved this problem about "active desktop items."

I added a shortcut to my desktop just recently. Surprisingly, a question popped up asking me if I wanted have an "Active Desktop Items." Unfortunately, I clicked YES and the end result was that all of the items on my desktop turned black.

After a few days of research, I came up with these solutions:

I changed the desktop themes in control panel. How to do this: go to control panel, click on display properties.

Another way: right-click somewhere on your desktop screen that isn't covered by the items that turned black then select Properties > Desktop. change the color.

third way: right-click on your desktop items and see if you can change the Active Desktop setting.
