I'm trying to figure out a decent build for a gaming computer for approx. $2,000 to around $2,500.
I'm trying to figure out what would be the best gear possible for that money without using too much hardware that programs won't be able to use fully for the next few years. Unfortunately while I know some comp. terms, I've only built one PC before and that was 2 years ago. This machines power would be focused on gaming (i.e. Crysis + World of Warcraft, both of which I'd like to be able to play at the highest quality levels without lag). What kind of video card would i need for this? Any suggestions for RAM sticks and CPU's? I'll try to find some gear on newegg and post them. Until then any help would be awesome!! |

You're going to need a very high end video card if you want to run Crysis up that high. I'd suggest a 4000 series ATI card or what ever Nvidia's flagship card is right now. You'll probably want to stay away from the x2 series though. I have a 3870 X2 and it seems to be a bit problematic. It's not exactly the most stable thing in the world. Also, it doesn't really outperform the single gpu video cards either.
