We all know that laptop computers have dominated the market recently. Would it mean that sooner or later Desktop computers will vanish? If you were to ask, at this moment, are there things (software, hardware, processes) that desktop computers have which are not found on laptops?

I think the manufacture of desktops will only decline, especially now that more and more people value mobility (which laptops can offer, of course) and more and more laptops have very good features and specifications. I don't think that the desktop line will eventually be erased, though. I think that more companies will still have a need for them. Plus there are still people who want to have the convenience of using desktops (some people hate the small keys on laptops and some people also like bigger screens compared to the limited sizes on laptops these days)

I agree with you Fortuner. There are still pretty few advantages that desktops have against laptops. Desktops are cheaper than laptops, it has larger disk and memory size and it is easy to upgrade. Uhmmm, compared to desktops, laptops are easy to steal! and if you accidentally dropped it or sit on it, its done.
