Default CPU tools' suggestions?

Does anybody know what tools or softwares I should install for my cpu temperature checkup, processor speed and other utilities regarding cpu enhancements. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

RealTemp is a temperature monitoring program designed for all Intel core processors (single, dual or quad core). It is compatible with any version of XP or Vista operating systems.If you are in a limited account, you may have to run RealTemp as administrator.

Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring
Some of its features include:
-temperature information from all Intel Core based processors.
-Ability to individually calibrate Real Temp for each core of your CPU.
-Program is based on temperature data gathered using a Fluke 62 IR Thermometer.

Cpu-Z is a freeware program that allows you to get information about your computer.

Download Cpu-Z 1.45 - A freeware program that provides some information about your CPU - Softpedia
It displays:
-Processor name and vendor
-Core stepping and process
-Processor package
-Processor current core voltage
-Internal and external clocks, clock multiplier
-Partial overclock detection
-Processor features, including supported instructions
sets.
-L1 to L3 cache information : location, size, speed, technology.
-Motherboard information : name, vendor, BIOS, chipset, memory, AGP.
-Memory information : size, type, timings, specifications.

I came across a site that may also help you with your problem, the program is called SpeedFan. I use this on my PC and it works really well. It's a freeware by the way.

You may also want to try to configure your settings in power options and unlock your computer’s full CPU performance. In your system tray, click on the icon and change your power plan to High Performance.
