Buying Mac

Hi everybody,

I have a four years old PC and it is time now to buy a new computer because it is too slow.

I am looking for every possibility, even buying a mac computer. What I need is a computer on which I can browse the internet, send emails, listen to my music cd, photo and video editing and some little works like Word, Excel and Powerpoint and that's all. I don't want to play games.

My questions are:

What are the pros and cons for Mac?
What do you know about iMac? Is it a good purchase? Why?
