Default Functions

Hi,

I'm one of the persons involved in the TestFreaks project. We are starting up this forum behind the scenes and we hope you will join us and help us build a superior user experience.

We at TestFreaks have felt that buying and looking for products today is a lot of work and even though there are good resources out there there is always something missing.

So what features would you like to see? How important are they? What bothers you with the sites out there today?

Many of us working with TestFreaks (me especially) are fans of unboxing.. I'm note sure why it's so fun to look at pictures of something being taken out of it's original packaging, but it sure is

I've written about ratings on a previous thread and I believe that you should try to avoid a general rating and aim for more specific ratings. Maybe a design rating, picture quality rating and so on..
I think it's a must to have category-functions like Pricerunner (selecting a certain standby time for a mobile phone shows all the phones with that capacity). As I see it the categories could consist of more stuff though. One thought is to include maybe the "more specific ratings".
I would also appreciate if I could find products that haven't yet been released and their planned released dats , since I often feel like when I buy something a new model appear on the market like a month after.

All good suggestions.. The things you describe are some of the things we are looking to implement in a way to enchance the user experience.. Your last point is very valid and we will do our best to get this into our systems but sometimes the manufacturers wont release the information that far a head. In some categories it's pretty easy to know when the next model will come since they have release cycles.

I get the feeling that this is going in the directipn towards opinion based evaluation and its a great way for 'the industri' to se theire segments grow.Mabye its a better idea to them than have old school strategies often strange and with some of the worlds best sites with (check ABSOLUTE moronitys as ex.) pow wow flash picture and sound.free music with the most identity-rid artist-BROAD-they can buy...and now whole industrys of entertainment needs a fix of some sort...HOW TO EARN??
.....but not many consumers are into them bragging about themself so.....this is a way better.
And now some amusement:

Sorry if you need focus! Look in some manual!! great!! .-)

Default Product Compare

I would like to see a good comparative functions. Show related products and how the products compare. Also include review comparing. if you do a good and detailed rating system (like ByronH mentioned) it would be nice to compare the over all ratings of various products.

Hi, I noticed that there are no part of this forum where you can have a normal discussion of new good products. I'm thinking of buying a new computer for my daughter, and I've looked around on the net. But there are to many brands and to many modells. Do I really need all the new cool features that are listed? Can anyone recommend me a good page like this where I can find a Notebook reviews and tests?
