Well Claire, I recommend you to use cameras with AA batteries. Since you said you travel a lot then that's what is ideal for you. LI-ion batteries when runs out of power, gives you no choice but to plug the battery into a power outlet to recharge it. This would mean that you need to bring with you the cords and chargers. Hassle right? And if you happen to be in a remote area and your camera runs out of power, where can you find an outlet? Unlike if you are using those cameras powered by AA batteries, when runs out of power, all you have to do is throw them away and replace them with new ones. I recommend Energizer E2 Lithium line. Two or three sets of such batteries can usually take you through a 10-day trip.
