Those expensive memory cards have higher speed ratings, speed in terms of how fast the images are written to your card making your digital camera becomes readily available for the next shot. Hmmm, like one of my friends digital cam, he had a cheap memory card, every time he takes a shot, he needs to wait for like 10 seconds before he can shot another one. That's the disadvantage of those cheap memory cards.
