Default MP3-player vs. Cell Phones

Since my MP3-Player broke a couple of months ago I've been thinking about buying a new one. I used to have a 20 GB iPod. I always felt that it was a bit big but I used it as a external harddrive so I accepted the size. This time around I want that smallest MP3-player that I can get. The reason is pretty much that I'm tired of carrying around both a cell phone and a large MP3-player. I'm not really a purse-person so you can probably understand why. But on the other hand what's the point in buying a MP3-player when most cell phones have a MP3-player? I can understand that if you want good sound quality a MP3-player is probably better, but I can honestly don't hear the difference. Is there any reason left for buying a MP3-player instead of a new cell phone?
