that's sort of a trick question...

I can't make a recommendation on which Vista version is right for your computer without knowing the specs and what you want to do with it..

To figure it out you can easily go to the Vista site and check out the comparison charts and figure out which version is the right one for your needs..

now if your laptop can handle it is another question entirely, without Aero on and other features most computers, even old ones will be fine with Vista, people run into trouble when they think they can run all of the features...
