disappointed

Ms. A. M. Hamilton, Amazon
28 August 2014
  • Summary: it's flimsy, overheats easily, and only works properly if it's completely full so it's pretty useless for what I bought it for - making small amounts of baby food. :-( really disappointed, especially as the small blender I was replacing that I'd had for years was also a Russell Hobbs so I was expecting a way better product.

Small and mighty

cetriolo, Amazon
18 April 2014
  • Summary: Needed a processor, but don't have too much space in the kitchen, plus wanted something reasonably priced. This is just a perfect tiny processor - speedy, efficient, easy to clean, small enough to store in a cupboard. It comes with a lid as well, which is quite useful.

Recommended by Mum

Bullster, Amazon
15 April 2014
  • Summary: Bought this on my mum's recommendation, as usual she was spot on. Great bit of kit. Used it most recently for the mushroom pate for beef wellington and as usual got the perfect consistancy I was trying to achieve. Not the easiest thing in the world to extract all the chopped ingredients from, but a small spoon usually suffices. Alternatively, a litle water and a swirl does the job. Takes away all the effort of hand chopping to fine, should have got one years ago.

Not good with liquid

S. Davey, Amazon
6 February 2014
  • Summary: For dry foods, vegetables etc I find this does a good job and is perfectly adequate but if I want to chop and blend with liquid, even with pushing the plastic lid down as hard as possible, some of the liquid ends up getting sprayed out between the lid and bowl. Why isn't there some kind of seal to prevent this? Previously I had a brilliant Ready Steady Cook chopper.

SHOULD HAVE TAKEN NOTICE

perseka, Amazon
20 January 2014
  • Summary: Bought this in October, as one reviewer said she used it to puree her baby's food, and I wanted it for my cat, as she has few teeth. However the reviewer did say that the cutters did not go to the bottom of the bowl and did not puree as well as it should. However, unfortunately, I took the risk as the make was Russell Hobbs. I immediately went to the Russell Hobbs site to register the product, and gave up, as it included a survey which were pages and pages long.

great product

silver slippers, Amazon
29 November 2013
  • Summary: This is a kitchen essential, I use it for chopping veg for soup, its great for chopping onions no more watery eyes. I also use it to turn sugar into castor sugar if I run out when baking. It makes easy work of crushing digestive biscuits for cheesecakes. Quick salsas can be made in seconds. The glass bowl does not retain any smells.
