Summary: I was having a problem with this mixer shaking when I was making dough for my sticky buns, so I called customer service. They told me that this mixer can't hold more than 6 cups of ingredients if you are using a specialty flour, aka bread flour. Well this just sucks! I bought this machine to be able to make any delicious thing I could think of and now they tell me their mixer can't handle my flour!
Great product but NewEgg Lies about $10.00 gift card

Summary: I've been a NewEgg customer for many years. I've usually received nothing but the best service from them. I find it strange that they would decide to lose a customer over a silly $10 coupon.
Pros: This mixer is great! Don't let the one egg review deter you from buying this mixer. I would, however, recommend buying this elsewhere.
Cons: NewEgg lies about gift card. I've contacted them through this website and called them on the phone a week later. I received no response from my web form entry. The person on the phone said that they were re-sending the code. It never arrived.
Summary: I bought a new pink 5 quart in 2004 for my 23 year old daughter. She used the machine for cookies 12 times. The mixer is now in for repair for the second time. None of repair cost was under warrenty. Kitchen-Aid not what it used to be.
Kitchen Aid buyers BEWARE the mixer easily heats up and wears.

Summary: We bought the 575 watt professional stand mixer one year ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. We returned it once for repairs. It was over heating and unable to run at a constant speed. Now,7 months later, the gears have worn out and the unit will no longer work at all. We used the mixer once a week to make a couple loafs of bread. Since our trouble we have discovered that a number of other people are experiencing similar issues.
Kitchenaid buyers...BEWARE it will break down in 3 yrs.

Summary: From the description, you get the sense that the investment into a Kitchenaid stand mixer is an investment for a lifetime, or at least the better part of a family's growing years. From my experience, this couldn't be further from the truth. I've had my Kitchenaid for just over 3 yrs and it recently started making a strange 'grinding' noise and would randomly shut off while using it. After my husband took it apart, he noticed some unusual wearing on the metal gears.
