Summary: I would recommend this mixer, everything turns out as it should do. It is well worth the cost because of the quality of it. I have had a Kenwood previously, my mother always used one too, I like the constant high standard of manufacture.
Summary: Very pleased with this machine and all of the attachments. The splash cover is a great addition especially when mixing royal icing, saves "dust" everywhere. It does make a bit of noise when on the go, so I place the mixer on a towel if I'm baking late at night. It lives on the worktop and so it is used and loved!
Summary: I purchased this for two reasons one was because my Prospero had broken and secondly because it was a very good price. Since I have had this I have used it extensively, does everything I expected it to do. It site said it had slight cosmetic damage, that's about right, two small scratches and £120 cheaper than a major retailer.
Excerpt: I bought this mixer recently, Kenwood make the best kitchen mixers. The price is awesome, seriously $449 for a mixer with the three main attachments you'll need plus a mincer.
That is great value, couple of reviewers further up marking it down on price, yet in your comments say it is a great buy or the attachments are expensive?
Seriously, people need to understand that you have to pay for quality. Then again, the mixers are made in China, go figure.
Excerpt: The K beater attachment doesn't make good contact with the bottom or sides of the bowl and just pushes the mixture higher and higher up the sides. Especially annoying when creaming butter and sugar. I have to keep stopping and scraping it down to the bottom again.
