Summary: I bought this product for my wife 18 months ago and she loved it….up until today. As of today, it won't shut off and as many other reviewers on here have said the customer service is garbage. They did waive the $10 return fee but we still have to pay shipping both ways. They had a real "we don't care" sort of attitude because their warranty doesn't cover shipping. Their response to our complaint was literally "ok" and silence.
Summary: This machine is very powerful but it has a fatal flaw. The clasp in the back of the lid is molded from the lid, resulting in a large cutout with a relatively small piece of plastic beneath it. If you drop it, it is likely to shatter. That is what happened to me. I called Cuisinart. They will not replace it because it was dropped. I asked to speak to the supervisor and told her I think this is a flaw in the design. She just offered to sell me a new lid for $60!!.
Summary: Like so many others of this model, my machine has decided not to turn off unless unplugged or unlocked at the handle. I bought 2 1/2 years ago to replace my very small 35 year-old Cusinart, which, by the way, still works. Dealing with the warranty is too much of a hassle, since it will probably break again. Though this machine could do some very hard jobs, it would over heat and refuse to turn on for 30 minutes. For slicing and grating it did not do a neat job.
Finally, a wonderful food processor at a great cost!

Summary: This is an amazing item and it saves so much time in the kitchen! It is extremely sturdy, and the pieces all fit together perfectly. It is easy to clean and all of the pieces are dishwasher safe - always put them on the top rack of the dishwasher, according to the instructions. I have made quite a few things in this already and have only had it for about a week.
Summary: I can always tell when our kitchen is about to go Beast Mode. I hear the heavy Cuisinart FP-14DC food processor being drug out from our appliance garage across the counters, its rubber feet sticking and releasing with a resounding thump each time. A few minutes of finagling with the numerous attachments and bowl options precede a moment of silence, as if to observe the violence which will be unleashed on unwitting food components seconds later.
Summary: Not sure what kind of moron has designed the lid on this device - pieces of food gets stuck between the lid top and the rubber seal and there's no way to get it out, at least I could not find any way to disassemble the lid, and no instructions given in the booklet. So pieces of food will stay there spreading mold and microbes!
Summary: I'm so dissapointed! For the price paid for this I took extra care with this processor with every use. I expected to use this for at least 5 years! Tonight I tried to use it and it was DEAD. I'm really upset that I cannot do anything about it -way pass warranty for Amazon. This is so lame! I won't be recommending this nor Cuisinart products to anyone.
Choose a Kitchenaid- customer service for Cuisinart is a joke!

Summary: I did not buy this product from amazon- I got mine from Macy’s at a higher price than is advertised here... Do NOT buy ANYTHING from Cuisinart. I was previously a fan of the Cuisinart Food Processor and have bought two over the last fifteen years (the second purchase was to upgrade to a bigger bowl/motor). Cuisinart’s customer service is so poor, I would caution ANYONE from buying from them.
Summary: I purchased this product reading the reviews bit now I am repenting the purchase. I purchased it in summer of 2010 and after using it for just over two years, i started experiencing disintegration of the plastic components of the FP. I had to obtain a new set of the bowls as well as the lid assembly, which is not cheap when you consider you have paid over $250 for the product hoping to get a quality item I would not recommend this food processor to anybody.
