Summary: I just received my new Cuisinart DLC- 2009CHB Prep 9 Food Processor. After reading some of the reviews here on Amazon I have noticed that some of you have been stating in your reviews that there was no "dough blade" and no "How- to DVD" in the box. I just got off the phone with Cuisinart and they said it should have come with the dough blade and DVD. They took care of it for me and sent them out free of charge.
Summary: just as good as my old German braun food processor. Great customer service, too. The video showed the kneading (plastic) knife, but that wasn't included in the box. We called and they sent it right out. One thing I am missing: A 'slow' mixing button. Only one speed is possible, even the pulse button is just as fast as the 'on' position. Sometimes you just want to slowly incorporate the chocolate chips or some other bigger pieces into the dough.
Summary: I have been so happy with this food processor. I asked for it for my birthday for the express purpose of making pizza dough. The difference is unreal! Kneading the dough by hand vs the processor...there's just no comparison. The processor allows for more oxygen to get into the dough and react with the yeast resulting in fluffier dough. Imagine my surprise when it can also shred the cheese and chop the veggies in no time flat.
Summary: Love this!! It is quick, the extra wide feed is great! This works so much better than a mandolin . It is super quick to shred carrots and zucchini. Comes in handy. this had great feedback and glad I bought it. I would like other cutting blades , though.
Summary: Received this as a gift for Mother's Day and loved it (my son purchased it through Amazon). However, it started smoking when grating cheese. I stopped using it then used it briefly again and it smoked again. Have contacted Amazon who said it's too late to return it through them. Contacted Cuisinart who says I have to pack it up and pay my own shipping to have it sent back and repaired and will take 4-6 weeks.
Summary: Love cuisinart food processors. They make preparing meals a joy and prep time is cut in half. Already have two elderly ones and am replacing both - although they both still work well. How anyone who likes to cook can be without these, I'll never know. Best thing since sliced bread!
Summary: I have been a loyal Cuisinart user for years. I have had and currently have many Cuisinart appliances. I bought this food processor in January 2013 to replace another brand cheap food processor (all I could afford at the time) that had gone bad - for $30, the old cheap food processor gave me years of use. I liked the Cuisinart food processor at first - it was quieter than the cheap one, it had more attachments and it did a fine job.
Summary: I bought this to replace a Moulinex, which is no longer made... I scoured Ebay when my first one broke after 12 years, found another one used which lasted another 6, and now I'm out of luck. After checking dozens of reviews, I went with the 9-cup cuisinart. For the most part, this seems like a good machine; I love the strength of the motor, the footprint is not too huge, the plastic bowl seems sturdy enough (time will tell on that one since the plastic is always the...
Better than the 13 cup kitchen aid or others that have large capacity bowls.

Summary: You intuitively think that if a food processor is large capacity like 12, 13 or 14 it must be better than say a 7 or 9 or 10 cup. That is not really the case. I tried a 14 cup Oster and the motor smelled like it was smoking when i did a regular size batch of pizza dough in it and bounced all over the table when doing it.. Well, after about the 3rd or 4th time using it, it died.
