Mini-Prep Quisinart Processor: I already had one exactly like the new one I bought
3 January 2015
Summary: I already had one exactly like the new one I bought. All the reviews I read are exactly what I would have written--5 stars. For a very small appliance, this one is a workhorse! I use the old one daily (still) to make kitty food.
Strong smell of electrical smoke during use, poorly designed blade assembly, insufficiently tight lid

Summary: Even with one second pulses, during use, the original unit I bought and the replacement both smelled like electrical smoke. The blade assembly is also dangerous to assemble, with tiny notches for grips that but fingers at high risk of being sliced open.
though the blades don't seem to do a perfect job of mixing while it chops

Summary: Have had this for a few weeks. Was an upgrade from my starter junky version of these. Works well to make dressings and herbs, though the blades don't seem to do a perfect job of mixing while it chops, so sometimes I need to stop and shake it a bit. Doesn't drip even when it's all liquids.
Summary: disappointing, it feels light weight. the noise it makes is shrill and tinny , nothing like my large Cuisinart workhorse. it does the job more or less I guess , but I am looking for something more substantial. I don't like it at all. Sorry! and thanks for asking.
Summary: Actually, I went for the refurbished product. So far this has not proven to be a bad Idea. Had a smaller one by another manufacturer that died of old age and I wanted a fast replacement. Received a NewEgg promotional email at the right time.
Pros: It works well and does what it is intended to do. The blades are very sharp so be careful when you wash them. Learn from my fail. Chopped nuts to make flour and with the speed, blades and pulse control it worked better than my blender. It is the right size for smaller jobs like making a meal vs. ...
Cons: Did I mention the blades are sharp? Seriously, when washing them treat them like a knife.
Summary: Bought it for our second home where I try to keep stuff down to a minimum, but still needed something to make pestos. This works for that. Tried to chop dates to make energy ball type things and got nowhere. Good little machine for what it is, but it's not a food processor.
