DO NOT BUY THIS - This is not the Cuisinart quality of years past!!

Summary: Before I purchased this processor I used an older Cuisinart model that I had for over 25 years. It was getting tired looking and there was a small crack in the top piece. I have now owned this current piece of junk for 3 years. The original top and pusher lasted less than 2.5 years and was replaced under warranty. The replacements wouldn't even fit together so Cuisinart set others.
Summary: My husband bought me this food processor and it is was a complete waste of money. The first time I tried to use it a piece of plastic broke off the lid rendering it sharp and scary. After using it 5 times, the locking mechanism stopped working and now I'm going to pitch the whole darn thing and buy a cheaper less fancy food processor. I looked on Cuisinart's website and noticed this model is now discontinued. Very cheaply made.
Summary: I have wanted a food processor for a number of years and finally got one. Best thing I ever did. Salads, dressings, mixing, all the things that you expect are done in seconds. This is not the largest size and I am not sure that I would ever use the bigger one. This one handles all that I throw at it. Must be careful of not over filling it as it will overflow and leak. Best purchase I have made.
Summary: I love this food processor. It does everything I need - including chopping a ton of veggies for soups in no time! The included spatula is very helpful and also gets a lot of use. I have mostly just used the traditional blade, but I have no doubt I will be using the dough blade often as well. It has a very powerful motor, which is useful for quickly dispatching veggies.
Summary: I bought one of these last year from Kohls and I've used it maybe twice since then. By the time you finagle with the safety catches and prep your food for processing, and clean processor and put the blades away, you can pretty much chop all your food by hand just as fast if not faster with less clean up.
Summary: Although the motor is great. I wind up having to manually hold the top down to make a connection for the blades to activate. Just impossible and defeats the purpose of having "a second pair of hands" i.e. a food processor.
