Cuisinart suits my cuisine - great price and just the right size.
10 March 2013
Summary: I finally decided to get a small food processor and I am a big fan of Cuisinart. This model is just what I wanted and the price on Ebay was great. I haven't used all of its features yet, but am looking forward to integrating it into my kithcen adventures. I think the best feature is the chute attachment for continuous slicing/shredding into a bowl placed under the chute. Clean up is a breeze - a quick rinse and done. I would hightly recommend this model.
Summary: This is NOT a 'mini-prep', which Cuisinart also makes. This IS a full -service Cuisinart food processor, only small. I own or have owned both Cuisinart mini-preps: the 3 cup and the 4 cup. They don't come close. This mini Cuisinart is a powerhouse and a great little workhorse. It has the same controls as a classic Cuisinart: on, off and pulse. It has the same type of feed tube, blade, etc.
Summary: Extremely powerful food processor for its size. Perfect for smaller kitchens. It does exactly what I need. When wanting to do large batches of grated cheese or sliced veges, the shoot adapter directs the cheese/veges into a large bowl of your choice. I can't say enough positive things about this great food processor.
Summary: This is a great medium size machine. Bigger than my miniprep but smaller and much more light weight than my full size Cuisinart. Just the perfect size for a single or couple. With the additional shute for slicing and grating, you can just keep on working until you are done.....No complaints with this machine. Bought it used at an excellent price.
Summary: Cuisinart DFP-3 Handy Prep 3-Cup Food Processor My old 7-cup Braun food processor died and was no longer reparable. I was horrified at the huge size of most food processors now available but did't want a mini-processor. I was a little unsure about getting a 3-cup food processor, but my fears have been allayed. It's a real little work horse and has done everything I need.
Nice reproduction of the 11 cup original but underpowered

Summary: The size is perfect, the accessories are the right ones but it is very underpowered. Just doesn't perform like a Cuisinart. Even with just a couple garlic cloves or a half onion (coarsely chopped) it slows down badly under any load and takes forever to finish the processing. Not worth the money, buy a big one or use a knife.
