Summary: We bought this machine about a year ago. Right away, one of the tabs on the lid broke. It still worked, so we continued to use it. A few months later, the other tab worked, and the bowl broke as well. With pieces of plastic all over our kitchen, we threw both pieces away. When we called customer service, we were told it was still under warranty and cheerfully began the process for replacement. Then they told us we needed to send back the broken pieces.
Summary: There is a reason why America's Test Kitchen rated this the number 1 food procesor....because it is great! If you take notice...this processor is used by many many cooking shows as well (The Chew, ATK, Cooks Country....etc etc ) Reasonable price. Easy to clean. Keep it on your counter and ready to go!
Summary: This is my third Cuisinart food processor. Each one has been larger than the last, and they all still work!! This one is a power-house. I do all my bread baking, and at 70 years of age, the kneading has become difficult. The Cuisinart takes care of that, plus the taste of the final product is great and still "home made", no chemicals included. We also do a lot of canning, and so many times the food processor has completed a tiresome project in speed time.
Summary: I am a home user with a large garden. I prepare most of my food from scratch. For the last 14 years I had a KitchenAid 11 cup food processor that I was very satisfied with but after steady use the center shaft cracked and it was time to replace it. I originally wanted a new KitchenAid but read all the reviews carefully. I went with the Cuisinart DFP-14BCN 14 cup food processor largely by its ratings, price, and I liked the fact that it was 14 cups.
Summary: I make almost all of my own food from scratch so I use a food processor a lot. I previously owned the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth processor but the bowl cracked within six months. I liked the unit so I replaced it with the very same model anad it cracked again. Even though the HB was half the cost of this one, I didn't want to buy a new one every six months. So, I bought this one, trusting (blindly?) in the "Cuisinart" name for quality and reliability.
Summary: If you are cooking or making something that serves more than 2 to 3 people then this is for you. I have been in and out of the cooking industry for 10 - 15 years now and Cuisnart is one of the best you can buy. the best thing is that it is all dishwasher safe and the base is easy to wipe down. I bought it for $160 to my door, no messing with crowds and other goofy people you encounter at stores and malls trying to find the best deal, wasting your gas as you do so.
BUYER BEWARE. POOR QUALITY AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Summary: We purchased a Cuisinart Food processor and within on month of use the lid broke. The lid was then on backorder for almost four months. When we finally received the lid it did not fit the base of the food processor. Two more times we tried to go through the process of calling the company and wasting 30 minutes of our time each call attempting to get the correct lid and packaged and returned the wrong lid and waited more time for the correct lid.
Due to the inferior components, after 3 years of use, it is now useless

Summary: The plastic started cracking within the first year of purchase and after 3 years it is rendered completely unusable. While the motor has always been strong the plastic bowl and components have cracked and finally have rendered it useless. I took care if it as per manufacturers recommendation and never put it in the dishwasher (hassle) I bought this one to replace a Cuisinart that I had for nearly 10 years. The price is high and the quality is sub-par.
