Summary: If you are a duffer at making short pastry try it in one of these processors, although you do need to use the correct ingredients like real lard and some margarine, Purrrrfect pastry and I'm a duffer.
Summary: I bought this Braun food processor in the US and am very happy with it. I recently moved to the UK and am wondering if I can still use the machine here with an adapter? I know some products do not work with adapters - my alarm clock/cd player burnt and broke when I tried it with an adapter. does anyone have any knowledge in this area?
Summary: I bought this to replace my old Braun processor which was finally giving up after 20 years of excellent work. Have already tried it on pastry, shredding and crumble mix with perfect results. Like the variable speed and this is much quieter than my previous one, which is a bonus. Considered several other makes on-line and in stores but could not find one I liked the feel and look of. As Braun do not seem to be stocked in the UK now (why not?
Summary: I'm a little tardy with this review but two and a half years daily use and never a complaint. Does everything a Magimix does, albeit in slightly smaller quantities (500gm bread dough for example), and does it equally well - and we did have a magimix some years ago so no idle boast! It chops, grates, slices, mixes and kneads quietly and efficiently, what more do you want?
Summary: Read other reviews before ordering. Like me lots of people had had Braun food processors for many years. Mine must have been 25 years old and was still working, but the holder for the grating etc discs had got brittle and it broke. Looked everywhere in the Uk to replace it. Delivery was very quick from Germany. Don't know why unavailable in UK. Only received new one on Monday but have used it. It is very much quieter than old machine.
Summary: I was somewhat disappointed at the Braun 600, first thing I noticed it is not made in Germany but in Hungary. It is all plastic even the gearing. I was disappointed because it just doesn't feel like the quality product I was expecting for a Braun product. So far it works fine chopping meat and vegetables, runs fairly quite. I feel, I need to very careful while using not to damage something. Now I wish I had spent more and gotten the model 3000.
Summary: Bought to replace a Kenwood food processor which lasted only 4 years & had been purchased to replace a Braun which had provided more than 18 years of good service! Delighted to find that the Braun was still available although only through a German supplier. Product arrived within 9 days complete with adaptor plug & very happy to find that it was very similar to my previous model with more modern base. I'm sure I won't be hunting for a new product for many years!
