good sturdy light

26 July 2007
  • Summary: This light is used at work around hazardous areas. Mostly in acidic situations (sulfuric/nitric type acid). So far it's holding up very well. Since we're usually gloved up good, an easy to hold light with a definate, easy to use switch is a must. As it stands right now, if we need more lights, this one is at the top of the list.
  • Pros: large enough to use with gloves on, easy on/off switch
  • Cons: none, yet

Emergency evacuation flashlight for office

fwabnik, opticsplanet.com
24 July 2007
  • Summary: Excellent emergency evacuation light for our office, located in multi-story building. If the power fails (perhaps because of a fire) the building's staircase has emergency lighting, powered by generators. But, if they also fail for some reason, the stairway would be dark. Our emergency evacuation plan now requires that a flashlight be carried, just in case, and a Streamlight 3C Propolymer LED is kept at hand for that purpose.
  • Pros: Bright, long burn time, very durable
