Summary: We have ran Dewalt power tools for years and always got along great with them. I own every mag light available and would spend $100-$200 a year batteries for them since I do so much farm work at night. Last year we bought 2 of these flashlights and love them! The are durable, bright and extremely handy - best part is, I haven't had to buy D batteries! They are a great buy if you do work in the dark. I now buy them for my friends/relatives who run Dewalt tools.
Summary: This light takes a beating and keeps on trucking. I have dropped it and beat it up until I had to buy a new one. BUT, I dropped it a lot. I am going to buy a new one now that I have the new Lithium Ion set. It will be a lot lighter and I hope it will last a lot longer while in use! (If I don't drop it a lot that is!!
Summary: This is a great product; adjustable angle, light weight and good focus. The bulb isn't as bright as I thought it should be. It is very "yellow" and not a "white" light like a Maglite. Could use a better bulb but I'm sure battery life was a concern when it was being designed. Good compromise, it gets the job done.
Summary: fast shipping and no brokerage fees etc, if i was charged fees, i would never use site again,, but since its canadian site then it so far appears ok.. im waiting for the LED insert to drop in price and i will order it too.instead of the xenon bulbs.
Summary: Amazon had a deal on Dewalt tools that if you spent 100 you got 25 off. Considering that many of the Dewalt tools were also on sale I picked up a few and threw this flashlight in to get the discount. It works well but not as bright as I would have liked but does the job. I gave it a 4 not because there's anything wrong with it but unless you're buying it on sale I think it's a little overpriced for what you're getting (especially in Canada).
Summary: It hit me one day, my flashlight was dead and I had six 18v DeWalt batteries at hand. I can get at least four hours of constant bright light from one battery. No more flicking the flash light on and off to save batteries, I just leave it on till the job is done.
