Summary: I bought one of these for my father-in-law (What else do you get him?) and decided to buy one for myself. It's a good size and seems to work extremely well. I've read some of the horror stories on here about dropping the flashlight three feet and breaking it. I doubt this is a real concern.
Summary: I wanted a flashlight-lantern combination for power outages and camping. I found only two models of this type in my area and went with the Coleman. I've used it three times and on the last time in my time of need: (Hurricane Ike and the ensuing power failure), this thing failed me.
Summary: We have a dual action Coleman flashlight that is over 10 years old and is still going great. A few plastic pieces are missing, so we decided to get a newer version. We ordered this item. It's very attractive.
Summary: I just bought this product to replace the previous one and also added the Coleman Personal Size Lantern to my order. Here's my review of the lantern which recommends the Coleman Widebeam flashlight.
