Summary: I have been doing Bikram yoga for a few months now and I must say these towels are the best investment I have made!! I was tired of slipping and sliding during the triangle pose and the other standing series. At one point I almost hurt my hamstring/thigh area due to losing balance and feet going where they weren't supposed to! This towel is soft on the top and has little dots on the bottom. The dots grip your mat and help prevent slipping.
Summary: I really couldn't be happier with my Yogitoes mat! I saw people starting to bring these to hot yoga and wondered what they were---an easily washable cover for a traditional yoga mat? A large towel? A non-stick yoga mat? Well, it really is all of those things. I noticed that when I went to a really hot or strenuous class I would slip and slide all over my mat. Small hand towels also couldn't handle the quantity of sweat that I produced and subsequently dripped on my mat.
Summary: I love the variety of colors and designs these towels have. And for the average user, this is probably a perfect yoga towel (price aside, perhaps). I only gave it three stars because I have a few issues with it that others might have as well. 1- I own the Manduka BlackmatPRO and the nubs on this towel just don't seem to work properly with my mat. The towel doesn't stay put as well as I would like it to. Might work better with other mats?
Summary: I use this with my yoga mat to absorb all of the sweat and what not. It prevents me from slipping and sliding everywhere during a workout. There are so many options to choose from that it took me days to settle on one. I've had it for a years and it has held up through many washes. Recommended!
Summary: These work as intended, meaning when you're holding Down Dog in your sweaty Bikram class you can actually hold it rather than ending up in the less-graceful Embarrassed Starfish pose. I bought two: Lakshmi - Poppy for my beau and Ganesha - Teal for myself. This particular color (Lakshmi - Poppy) is gorgeous for exactly one wash, then it fades to a much more subdued ruby-burgundy. When they say wash it before use, DO IT. Trust me.
Summary: Really the best option for a yoga towel. The "feet" underneath the towel make sure that it doesnt move around while practicing. I go to a hot yoga studio and I love this towel. Just throw it in the wash when you get home. I got a light color to not have to deal with the colors bleeding into my clothing.
Summary: I would recommed this towel over the ones without the grippy nubs for sure for a Vinyasa or Hot fusion class, and for hot yoga if you prefer to use a towel the whole class. I first got a non-grippy one and would use it just for the floor portion (second half) of hot yoga. This worked fine as my gym does not get as hot as most studios so I don't really need a towel for the standing series.
