Not what I had hoped for

kayteekay, amazon.com
29 January 2012
  • Summary: The gym I go to has two pound Stott Pilates Toning Balls and I like them, so I wanted to order these Stott one pounders for home. The 2lb versions at the gym squish to conform to your hand so they're easy to grip. These are much larger (even though they're 1lb instead of 2lb) and do not conform to your hand like the 2lb ones at the gym. The contents inside slosh around since they are so large, which leads to an unbalanced feeling. I'll probably end up returning them.

Great for toning and sculpting! :)

Katharena M. Eiermann "Existential Diva -- Pr..., amazon.com

  • Summary: Stott Pilates Toning Ball (Green, 10 cm, 3 Pounds) Soft, conforms to hand, easy to hold without dropping throughout workout, pleasing color, lots of fun. For an intense cardio workout, I usually pop in a 30 minute walk for fitness dvd and use one Stott Pilates Toning Ball (Green, 10 cm, 3 Pounds) in each hand, for all arm movements. Very easy to get the heart rate up, and work up a good sweat for max calorie burn.

Great for toning and sculpting! :)

  • Summary: Stott Pilates Toning Ball (Blue, 10 cm, 2 Pounds) Soft, conforms to hand, easy to hold without dropping throughout workout, pleasing color, lots of fun. One of my favorite weighted balls, the Stott Pilates Toning Ball (Blue, 10 cm, 2 Pounds) delivers a less intense cardio workout than the Stott Pilates Toning Ball (Green, 10 cm, 3 Pounds) -- but, I use this one the most.

great prop

J. Sims "LMT", amazon.com
16 September 2011
  • Summary: these two pound toning balls are great props that can make some exercises more challenging and others easier. they are not too heavy and about right for either sex, although generally speaking (forgive me for stereotyping) some men will prefer the heavier three pounders and some women will opt for the one pounders. when you've learned an exercise without the toning balls, it can increase the challenge and strength.

  • Summary: For whatever reason, I thought there were two... I guess just used to using two at a time, so it was strange to only receive one. That said, I got another....

No good

peace, amazon.com
13 March 2010
  • Summary: Ordered 2 of these. One if perfect and malleable. The other is as hard as a rock. Both shipped from Amazon so you would think the packager at Amazon would catch this. Now I am stuck paying for the return. Completely dissatisfied and Amazon gets a 0 for this one.

Same weight different size

S. L. Chapin, amazon.com
9 February 2010
  • Summary: I ordered two of the Stott 2lb Pilates Toning Balls. One weighs exactly 2lbs the other weighs 1lb 15 3/4 oz. The heavier ball is about 1 inch bigger around than the lighter one. The weight difference is not noticeable but the size difference is. Quality control does not seem to be a priority.

this ball is a bust

Kit Kat, amazon.com
12 October 2009
  • Summary: I ordered two 2lb toning balls. One was solid and was true to its weight; the other one had leaked its contents (sand) so it was flabby instead of firm. I ended up returning it for another ball; the next ball I got was OK but still not solid.
