prAna ECO yoga mat

MRS K D Moujahid, amazon.co.uk
20 September 2011
  • Summary: I am very pleased with this yoga mat. I am a beginner in yoga and bought an ordinary non-eco yoga mat and was horrified at the chemical smell of it - which didn't go despite washing it, airing it etc. I don't feel that it is at all good to lie down inhaling these chemicals while doing yoga breathing! I did some reseach online and found this one and it is lovely - has a very faint natural smell which is fine.

Not sticky enough

Sea Bearr, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: This is a very attractive mat. It looks nice; it feels nice. But it isn't sticky enough. Which is not too good for a product advertised as being just that. I couldn't do a downward dog pose without adjusting the position of my hands all the time, for example. I can't concentrate on the practice with this mat, and I've gone back to using my old mat.

  • Summary: I decided to finally get my own mat and looked at many options before deciding on this one and I'm really glad I spent the extra to get it! Perfect thickness, texture and grip and I love the colours (I chose brown and pink).

Best mat yet

Mrs. Z. L. Reynolds "surfingbernard", amazon.co.uk
21 April 2009
  • Summary: This is the best mat I have had having tried several of the usual PVC sticky mats, a natural latex and jute mat and a very expensive cotton rug. While I did like the latex and jute one as it was very grippy and had lots of cushioning, it was smelly and susceptible to damage from oil. This one is just as grippy really, slightly less cushioning but that's what blankets are for.
