Summary: I'm a high intermediate exerciser who works out daily, but I'm new to kettlebells (been using them for just a few months now). I practiced some basic kettlebell moves with a dumbbell for awhile, but this was one of the first workouts that I used with my 8 kg (18 lb) kettlebell that I purchased on Amazon (similar to this one but the 8kg version: 16kg (35 lb) Kettlebell with DVD ). This DVD features RKC kettlebell instructor Sarah Lurie.
Summary: JUST LEARNING ABOUT KETTLEBELLS. REVIEWED A LOT OF VIDEOS ON LINE. IRON CORE WAS JUST ONE OF THE ONES I CHOSE. I ENJOYED THE TONE AND THE SPEED OF THE WORKOUT. ALSO, I FELT THE MUSCLES THAT WERE USED AFTER. I RECOMMEND THIS WORKOUT FOR OTHERS WHO WANT TO START OUT. SUGGEST A LOW WT TO START UNTIL YOU GET THE FEEL OF THE WORKOUT AND WEIGHTS. YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE WTS DURING THE WORKOUT.
Summary: I've been using the other 2 workout routines (Iron Core 1 and 2) and thought I was doing well. That is until I tried Iron Core 3. Only 20 minutes of work, but it uses all of your muscle groups together to create a much more strenuous workout. When I'm done I feel tired, yet knowing that I've moved toward a better and stronger body. Thanks for Iron Core 3.
Summary: Let me start off saying I am coming back from a double severe wrist injury that coincided with a back injury. I was out for almost a year. I started exercising gently 4 months a go and ready to start building up. All the reviews about the rest time are dead on! So frustrating. Even someone like me, knew to kettle, it made me nuts to have to wait. I felt bored and frustrated and felt the RHYTHM of the workout was ruined. I wanted and was hoping for something aerobic too.
Summary: Sarah is a great instructor. A 20 minute hard straight forward workout with great cues and form demonstrated. All her dvd's are worth the purchase. Can also be used with a heavier bell for a strength workout as opposed to a more cardio workout. I would advise if you haven't trained with Kettlebells previously to do her first instructional dvd's first, this dvd assumes you have previous training knowledge.
Summary: I have owned this DVD for a few years, and it was my first kettlebell DVD. It is undeniably a good workout, but I prefer 10 Minute Solution Kettlebell Ultimate Fat Burner with Michele Olson (hard to find!). This DVD provides a tough, thorough exercise, but it is boring to spend 20 minutes doing the same very basic moves two times through. I usually have to put on my own music to stay interested.
Summary: For all those who said Sarah's DVD's (Vols 1 and 2) were too easy, this one is for them. It is only three compound exercises repeated in several circuits. It does not feature any instructional material (she presupposes you have seen Vols 1 and 2), but I think this is a great workout. Her voice is more smooth and less sing-songy - essentially, Sarah's videos are my GO-TO kettlebell videos. Extremely accessible. I don't get it with people not liking the rest periods.
