Summary: Got one of these a couple of weeks ago. Firstly I've found the fish-finding less than impressive, though this is my first fishfinder, so wasn't sure what to expect and I imagine it's as good as others in that respect. My main gripe with the fish-finding is it gives you no direction as to where the fish are. Behind you, in front, to the left of the boat, the right..? No idea, just 'There's fish around here, somewhere.
Summary: This is without a doubt the worst fish/depth finder I have ever owned. The depth gage changes so slow, you can go from 100' to 1' and be agroundand it will still be at 100'. If you fish in three feet of water for ten minutes and than move out to four feet, you actually have to shut the unit off and turn it back on for it to change depths. I'm sure I've had it to long to return (two months) but I can't wait to replace it. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE.
Summary: I returned the Garmin 160C for the 360C per boyfriend's request. Before I received the GArmin 360C Amazon had received and reimbursed me for the Garmin 160C within 1 business day!! WOW!!! That was FABULOUS!!! Amaon- You rock!!
Summary: Being a female.. and a proud new boat owner.. I was so excited to get this depth finder... it tells you the speed (additional wiring needed).. and the color graphics can be tweeked to your liking! An Absolute easy and must have for boaters/fisherman!
Summary: We've had other brands of depth finders. This one is the best we've had! The color screen is much easier to see and the depth readings are consistent. It functions well even though we put it in the hull with epoxy. The other brand would fluctuate. We have not had too much experience with the fish finder yet. Just be careful of one thing. We were not aware that when you press the off button it first dims the screen.
