Garmin echo 150 Dual-Beam Fishfinder

Stephen L. Tucker "sltucker", Amazon
4 December 2014
  • Summary: Installed this unit on my pontoon boat. Inexpensive, easy to install and works great. Keeps me away from the rocks. And I can use it for fishing too.

  • Summary: We've been using this Garmin for a couple of years now from our 2-person Scadden cataraft. I studied the technology and understood the limited mission this finder would serve for fly-fishing.

Poor Build Quality

Zahnster67, Amazon
12 June 2014
  • Summary: The device worked well for a few weeks but developed a connection issue in both the power and transducer connectors. Now it will only power on if hold the power connector firmly in place. Just past the Amazon return period. Will have to pursue the Garmin Warranty. Poor build quality..

  • Summary: Works as advertised and I believe it has helped me put more fish in the boat. It is readable in sunshine and compact. Just wish the transducer cable were shorter.

Best depth finder for the money

brian, Amazon
13 May 2014
  • Summary: As with most "fish finders", it's less of a fish finder and more of a depth finder and thermometer. Which is really all you need. I've found nearly every brush pile my lake has, and knowing the water temp tells me everything else I need to know.

Very good bang for your $$$$

Martini Sipper "Chico Guy", Amazon
5 May 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this unit as a secondary fish finder. What a surprise, this unit performed better than a finder that costs 3 times as much. This unit is very easy to read, which is what I needed. Great deal for sure.

Must have

Christopher, Amazon
7 April 2014
  • Summary: Pretty basic set up. Wish it came with a cover for the actual monitor, also would be nice for a few ideas of where to mount the radar receiver. I have a flat bottom John boat and still have not found a good spot to permitly mount to it. Other than that every thing works as expected.
