Summary: Panasonic fax machines were not available in any of the big chain stores local to me. Brother was the only brand I could find. The toner cartridges are available at the major office supply chains and online. Laser is a much better choice than thermal or ink ribbon/carbon paper machines.
Pros: I have used Panasonic faxes in the past and they are workhorses. This is no exception. It is fast, easy to setup and use, and has many advanced features that you can but are not required to use. It makes great fast copies too. I highly recommend these over Brother. For a laser fax you can't go wr...
Summary: Would like to see an updated version of this fax.. maybe faster transmission speed if possible, addition of some type of flash memory to store more junk fax numbers.
Pros: We've had this model in our office ever since I've worked here, which is 5 or 6 years now. I bought this from NewEgg for our NY Showroom, which we broke the old fax during transport one day. This fax is very reliable and after doing some research the toner is the cheapest. $37.99 / 3000 pages. Th...
Cons: It has a built in junk thing that can reject faxes from people you put on a list, but it can only store 10 numbers. We get "spam"/"junk" faxes all the time, so having only 10 numbers to block is pretty useless.
Summary: This is one of my worst experiences with a product, and the followup service. If this is not covered under the warranty, I will never purchase a Panasonic product again.
Pros: The price seemed reasonable for the number of features. Can't say anything more than that at this point because it broke before we could use it for the first time.
Cons: The toner cartridge gets installed into the drum unit, which itself has to be installed. The toner cartridge has to be rotated once placed in the drum. When I did that a metal shield rotated from inside the drum unit and came out of the drum on one side. At that point the toner cartridge and drum...
Summary: This is my second Panasonic fax machine. Both worked without a hitch. I junked my first one because it was almost the same cost to replace the toner and the drum unit as to buy a new machine. The other fax machine worked well but was a few years old and this unit had better features.
Pros: Great functions, Easy setup, Fast warm up, Good quality prints, Doesn't cost much
