A good printer, but not designed for WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption

Summary: I have owned my 7410 since 2007 and was surprised to see that it is still for sale on Amazon. I just purchased a replacement printer, so before I disconnect the 7410 I thought I would share my impressions on what it does well, and where I find it lacking, in hopes that it will be of some help to...
Summary: I have had this printer for a while - at least 3 years, maybe 5. It is generally very good, the only complaint is the auto feed messes up (and getting worse). I probably mis-feeds paper 50% of the time.
Summary: I've been using this printer for a network of Macs and PCs for almost 1 year. Have never had a hardware problem and print, photo print, fax, copy functions keep working great. If HP had given us software that simply performs basic funtions (print, scan, fax) well, they could hit a home run.
Summary: have this for almost 4 years and it is still working. we were experiencing jams towards end of extended warranty with office depot and they got us a refurbished one. we used to use it a lot more for printing but now mostly for scanning and to download photos from the memory cards.
Summary: First the good news: Once I got it installed, it works great. Good print quality, reasonably fast, easy to print two-sided, easy to print envelopes, and everything else you'd expect from a printer in this price range.
Summary: I bought this two-tray printer to stack paper to the bootom tray and envelopes to the top one in order to print any of them as needed. I was wrong - this monster defaults to the top tray (the smaller one) only, thus leaving you with the need to remove the paper and replace it with envelopes each...
Summary: THIS WOULD BE A FIVE STAR RATING BUT THE PRINTER WOULD NOT OPERATE IN THE WIRELESS MODE WITH OUR I MAC. IT WORKED FINE WITH TWO DELLS ON THE SAME NETWORK. THE MAC SET UP SOFTWARE WAS DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AND STILL NO WIRELERSS CONNECTION.
Summary: We use this printer in a small office environment and it is very useful as printer, scanner, copier, and fax. This is meant for small or home office use and sometimes this shows the limits of the machine - mostly if you have a large amount of copies to do or a large fax.
Summary: I really wanted to like this printer. It has all the features I need and then some. The hardware works great. No problems with print quality or speed. But, as a former software developer, I must say the software really bites.
Great for home use BUT this is not a business machine!

Summary: I bought this for the dual trays, the wireless printing, and the scanner with the document feeder. It seems that the HP software that should bring it all together...does anything but that. The software and the document scanner are the two biggest let downs.
