Summary: I did not believe those who gave negative reviews for this particular unit at the beginning and bought it anyway. But then after 2 pages were getting through and 3rd page stuck at data process forever, I totally changed my mind. The 3rd page was successfully scanned and then the data process light starts to blink, I waited patiently for over 15 minutes and it stays the same. I pressed the reset button, tried to initialize all the settings, restart, etc.

Summary: We've got this machine because we do very little faxing And did not require a more robust device. It worked for a couple of weeks we probably sent five fax is out less than 10 pages total and then receive an error code. After spending two days left of the error code solution we then went to return to Amazon and found the returned was that they are to before. In trying to correct the E225 - 002 error we found a link recommending the firmware update.
Summary: Plugged it in right out of the box, and it works just like you expect it to. Removed the tape, did the simple set up, and for those jobs where fax is what you use, it works perfectly. No unexpected quirks, good quality printouts, seems to provide the fax expected at the other end. One day it will all be scans and emails, but for now, for my business, this is a must have.
Summary: Multi-function machines have come a long ways. So I expect near limitless features in a unit that claims the "multifunction" status. This unit is barely any more then a basic fax machine. No network connections, no wireless. To print you must have a usb cable that is not included. The pc drivers for this unit are also overly simple. You can only fax from a document. So if you want to fax 2 seperate files, you have to send 2 seperate faxes, thats just dumb.
