Summary: Sets up easily, explains well what to do. Love the continuous backup. Works fast. Not sure about the other two programs that comes with, probably clutter. Of course I haven't tried to recover what's in the drive, to see if it really did the job, I can only assume so at this point. Email is the trickiest for me, but My Passport seems to have backed that up too no problem. I like it.
Summary: This is a great deal on an easy to use backup. The unit is easy to store due to it's tiny size and can be taken anywhere. It comes with a bunch of software on a small CD. The problem is that there is nothing to tell you what to do with any of it. I finally set up my backup with software that comes with Windows and the unit works wonderfully. Get past the software and it's a great bargain. It comes with a cable so your ready to go right out of the box.
Summary: Came sooner than expected. Sleek-looking design and great performance. Over-all, a great deal. Setup was relatively easy (I skipped the WD software). I chose to manually install the Driver. All instructions can be found within the User Manual (.PDF Format) that comes loaded onto the drive. Makes almost no noise (inaudible over the subtle noise of my case fans). As per usual, a small LED flashes when the drive is in use. USB cable is around 15".
Summary: I have had WD USB drives for a long time know and I have always never been disappointed with any of them, and this is no exception. I bought this to replace a USB 3 drive box with a 750Gb HDD I put in it.(And yes, the HDD was a WD too). The speed on USB 2 is impressive (my laptop doesn't have USB 3), and the cable is just the right length, and not too stiff, so it allows for flexing without pulling on the drives socket.
