Summary: I've had this External Hard Drive for about 2yrs now and have had zero problems with it. It is very sleek, compact, light, and reliable as far as i've owned one. Western Digital HD's are probably the best value for HD's out there.
Summary: There's lots of room on this drive. I wouldn't trust it as a real backup drive, but transferring very large files on this drive is a great idea. I'm using it now as an external bootable drive for Linux and Windows on my Macbook Air.
Summary: I purchased this external usb hard drive to keep a portable backup of my important data. It works fine for six month. One day when I tried to open a file from it my computer all of the sudden stopped and a message came out: "your hard disk needs to be formatted".
Summary: This was a great little hard drive, and it did everything it promised to do, for about 10 months. This hard drive lived on my desk, wasn't banged around, was treated gently and after 10 months it just stopped working.
Summary: I don't know much about hard drives, but my tech savvy friend highly recommended this one. It was very easy to use and I have a Mac. All I had to do was plug it in and it formatted itself and everything. I highly recommend this.
