Summary: I've had this External Hard Drive for about 2yrs now and have had zero problems with it. It is very sleek, compact, light, and reliable as far as i've owned one. Western Digital HD's are probably the best value for HD's out there.
Summary: There's lots of room on this drive. I wouldn't trust it as a real backup drive, but transferring very large files on this drive is a great idea. I'm using it now as an external bootable drive for Linux and Windows on my Macbook Air. The speeds are decent, but the price is low enough to make an excuse that it doesn't use USB 3.0. There is no drop detection sensor on it, so never move it while it's plugged in.
Summary: I don't know much about hard drives, but my tech savvy friend highly recommended this one. It was very easy to use and I have a Mac. All I had to do was plug it in and it formatted itself and everything. I highly recommend this.
Summary: I bought it about a year ago and had all of my photo files stored on it and now it doesnt work at all, i have to have a professional data recovery service TRY and get my files back! western digital is not helping with this issue either!
Summary: I have been using this drive for the past couple months to perform backups of my system's hard drive every few days. So far I have not found any issues with the drive and have found it to copy everything over perfectly. I am very pleased with this drive because it is small, it's quiet (I can't hear it at all), and it is USB powered. I don't like a lot of clutter on my desk so the fact it is small and USB powered really helps to keep desk space clear.
